R.A.M.S. – Risk and Audit Management System
The CRMA’s “Risk and Audit Management System” (RAMS) was conceived and developed in 2016 by our team of risk management professionals. The team utilized and drew upon our more than twenty-five (25) years of experience and knowledge of operations, change management, audit, and operational risk management in the design and development of RAMS. The RAMS application has been deployed during our engagements with small, medium, and large companies, including several major state enterprises.
RAMS is very scalable and, therefore, quite suitable for all organization types and sizes that are looking to embed risk management processes (e.g., IT assessments and Business Continuity) throughout the organization. The application can be used by start-ups, novices, and experts and has excellent reporting capabilities. RAMS is not confined to risk management but can be adapted to Compliance assessments and Internal Audit assurance by any organization’s audit department.
The RAMS methodology is lightweight and quite straightforward; It incorporates some of the ISO 31000-2018, IA guidelines, and COSO standards for risk management and internal controls. It has predefined major risks, sub-risks, and associated controls. One of its most vital selling points, other than its cost, is its ability to document and track action plans and action plan updates associated with an organization’s control deficiencies identified during risk and or audit assessments. The application was developed by risk professionals with global experience but with local insight.
