Anthony Subero

Anthony is currently the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stratos Cyber Inc. Prior to forming Stratos, Anthony served as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Hitachi Systems Security, a global cybersecurity company. Prior to being appointed as CEO, Anthony held the positions of Chief Operating Officer; and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer within Hitachi.

During his 6-year period with Hitachi, Anthony successfully led key strategic initiatives that resulted in company record-breaking performances in the areas of organic sales outperforming the projected cybersecurity market annual growth rate in 2021,2022, and 2023; maintained a customer retention rate of over 92%, and an employee engagement score of 99%. Also during this period, Hitachi Systems Security was ranked in the Top 5 Cybersecurity Service Providers in Canada; outranking 84% of its competitors based on MSSP Alert ́s Top 250 Global Managed Security Services Providers – an annual benchmark index based on growth, customer service and innovative solutions.

Anthony has accumulated over 25 years of experience at the senior/ executive management level and over 35 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to Hitachi, Anthony held positions of Chief Internal Auditor and Chief Risk Officer in Republic Financial Holdings Limited. Anthony specialises in Governance, Leadership Development, Strategy Planning, Operations Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Process Re-engineering, IT Operations Management, Change Management, Information Security, Internal Audit and Strategic Project Management.

Anthony sits on several advisory Boards in the areas of Risk Management, and Security and Public Safety, and was a past director and Treasurer for Vision on Mission, a Non-for-profit organisation that rehabilitates former inmates back into society. Anthony also lectures in Project Management and Enterprise Risk Management in the area of Leadership and developing an effective Risk Culture.
