Pethion Greene

Pethion Greene is the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at the St. Vincent Building and Loan Association (SVBLA). She holds a BSc. in Accounting with First Class Honours, from the University of the West Indies, a MSc Forensic Accounting with Merit, from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom and obtained her ACCA at the London School of Business and Finance in the United Kingdom.

She is a Certified Chief Risk Officer, certified by the International Academy of Business and Financial Management (IABFM) and a Certified ISO 31000 Risk Manager, certified by the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB) and Accredited by the International Accreditation Services (IAS). Pethion holds a Professional Development Certification in the Strategic Management Certificate Program (SMCP) – Risk Management and Governance, and Certification in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Both from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPA). She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Pethion has conducted trainings at Board of Directors and Staff levels, with strong focus on, Enterprise Risk Management Fundamentals; the link between Risk Management, Change Management, Leadership and Culture; the importance of Risk Management to Financial Institutions; Corporate Governance and Enterprise Risk Management; the Role of the Board of Directors in Enterprise Risk Management; and Developing & Refining Risk Appetite & Tolerance.

She has also conducted training for the Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank (ECHMB) Mortgage Underwriting Course, focusing on the Risks Associated with Mortgage Lending.
