Dr. Nasreen Al Qaseer

With over 36 years of banking experience across diverse licenses, Dr. Nisreen Al Qaseer is a seasoned leader in risk management and governance.

She was appointed Chief Risk Officer by the Central Bank of Bahrain (2007), and later by the Central Bank of Kuwait (2011). She holds a PhD in Risk Management & Operational Risk from Liverpool John Moores University and an MBA in Managerial Economics from the University of Hull, UK.

A recognised authority in the field, Dr. Al Qaseer is known for her strategic vision, regulatory insight, and innovative risk solutions. She has led national efforts to promote a culture of risk through the “Bahrain Risk Management” initiative and has designed impactful training workshops
incorporating creative thinking methods such as Edward de Bono’s techniques.

She is a long-standing member of PRIMA Global’s Nominated Committee and the MENA IIF CRO
Group, and has authored internationally acclaimed books on operational risk. Her work continues
to influence the field through her Risk Leadership article series on LinkedIn.

Honours: Awarded by Her Royal Highness Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for excellence in professional performance.
